Two weeks on the road …

Monday, September 28th, 2009

and we’re back!

We had a fantastic time spending so much quality time with some of our favorite, long time clients and getting the opportunity to meet so many new ones. Truly, a wonderful opportunity to really HEAR what you all are needing and wanting for the steady growth of your businesses. There’s definitely something to be said for attending smaller retreats and workshops, in that, we really get the one-on-one time with individuals to really get to focus on the specific needs people are facing right now. We loved the feedback!

We experienced little of Atlanta aside from flooding rains, but it certainly didn’t stop the momentum and energy at both Learnfest and the WPPI Roadshow. What a wonderful group of inspiring people who are taking their businesses to the next level by investing in educating themselves. From there, we welcomed the Florida sun (after a 6 hour trek through Georgia and Alabama, an experience I think neither Mike nor I will soon forget). There, we joined up with 25 ILP forum, established and successful photographers for their annual creative retreat. We were happy to host a lovely brunch where we were given the opportunity to show what BIG Folio can do for them. We were thrilled with the awesome feedback and imput and are excited to welcome this fantastic group of ladies to the BIG Folio family. What a wonderful time of sharing ideas and collaborating!

You asked for it …

… and we heard you.

We know how valuable your time is as a business owner and we hear (all the time) how difficult or overwhelming it seems to commit to switching to a new website or hosting company. We’ve decided it has been worth our effort to prove that wrong.

The BIG Folio Import Tool is ready to go!

Everyone knows BIG Folio is known for it’s phenominal customer support and amazing products, so if you’ve hesitated switching to BIG Folio because of the hassle of moving everything from one spot to the next, fear not! Our new import tool makes it uber-easy and can be done in the time it takes you to walk in and make a cup of coffee. (If you’re into French Press, I’m terribly sorry, but we’re far more efficient than even that.)

Drop us a line to find out more about this fantastic new offering and we’ll show you what you’ve been missing!

… and we’re off!

Friday, September 11th, 2009

It’s a busy and full two weeks coming up for a few of us at the BIG Folio office. We’re packing our bags and heading east to Atlanta to participate in the 3rd round of the ever popular and sold out Learnfest educational retreat. There we will be setting up to feature our product line to those attending the event at the amazing Chateau Elan. From there, we pop over to the WPPI Roadshow, in Atlanta for a jam packed day with some phenominal speakers in our industry. If you’re going to be there, be sure to swing by our table and say hi!

Following Atlanta, we’ll be spending some time with the PRO group from ILP, hosting a brunch and getting to know some of the loyal and longtime members that have been a part of one of the larger portrait forums in the industry. We’ll be showcasing a fabulous new import tool in person to show everyone just how easy it is to make the switch to BIG Folio!

Keep checking back in, we’ll be documenting our journey along the way, and more than likely, will be showing off some images, if only to embarrass the heck out of our CEO, Mike Caston. Tune in.

The new Canon 7D DSLR…

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Alright everyone… thoughts on the new Canon bling?

canon7d

I’m a Nikon girl myself, but the Canon 7D, 18-megapixel semi-pro DSLR packs quite a punch. Shooting 1080p video in 24/30frames per second for only $1899? It’s not full frame, but it’s rock some really cool new features. Customizable buttons? Nice.  A dedicated button for switching to RAW+JPEG mode? Sweet.

It might just be the best full manual exposure HD video on a DSLR yet, showing the Nikon 300s who’s the new boss?

Thoughts?

Who’s grabbing one?
